UK

The University of Kentucky is where i want to go to college. It is a big campus and has all kinds of new people there to meet. My brother goes there and every time i go there, i am amazed more. I went to two football games there and i cant wait until i can go to all of the home games and sit in the student section as part of the true Big Blue Nation. I want to go see the basketball team play, but those tickets are really hard to get because the rich people snag them as soon as they are available. My brother has been lucky to go see about 5 of them and he says they are awesome. They are only the most winning team in college basketball history with 1996 wins. Only a year and a half and ill be at UK.

Winter

Im not a huge fan of the winter, but it brings snow so its not to bad. It also has Christmas which is always fun even though i have to go to family stuff. The 2 weeks we get off for Christmas is amazing and it is a much needed break from school. Some things that i don't like about it is driving in the snow and driving on the ice. Its dangerous and not very fun. But when there is snow i can go snowboarding on the hills behind my house. My dog loves the snow so i also like going out there to play with him. The winter also brings basketball season which is my second favorite sport. UK is my favorite basketball team and i watch all of their games. This year i really think they will win it all and if they dont i will be very disappointed.

My Thanksgiving Break

I didnt really do that much over the break because my brother was home and i spent a lot of time with him. I went to my friends house a couple of times. We played Modern Warfare 2 and got in the hot tub. I went out to eat a couple times as well. I played football with some friends at the airport and it was pretty fun. It made me miss football, but the free time i have now is still better. I watched a lot of football games because they were on all the time and theres never anything on TV that is better then football. I stayed home all day on Thanksgiving day and visited with my family. After we ate we played pictionary and my brother and i won of course. Thats about all i did over the break. Nothing very exciting happened, so i dont have much to write about.

School

I really don't like school, but i know its good for me and i have to go. I hate getting up at 7 every single morning and going to bed at 11. The night time is the best part of the day and i have to miss it 5 out of the 7 days of the week. Thats why the weekends are so great. I never get to have any free time and im always stressed out about school. I get in trouble when my grades aren't great even though im trying my hardest. I don't think my parents understand how hard it is to be in honors, play sports, and try to be a teenager at the same time. I consider my self a hard working person and its still hard. I wish life would be easier but its not and it wont ever be. School is just another thing that you have to overcome and conquer to live a good and successful life.

I Don't Know

I don't really know what to write about so i am just going to ramble. I don't have a girl now which isn't good, but it was for the best. I bought some protein pills yesterday so i can get bigger for football next year. I don't know how much it will help, but its worth a try. Today i have to go to Micah's to do a project for Spanish and its going to take forever so i'm not looking forward to it. The past month i have been through a lot with my friends. I lost my best friend because he started hanging out with the wrong crowd and thats not who i hang out with so we stopped being friends. Now i know who my best friends are now and i have learned that you cant do anything with out your friends. Life is a challenge and your friends are there to help you get through it. I have run out of stuff to ramble about so i am going to stop here.

Life Without Football

Well my life is pretty boring now that football is over. I just go home and play video games and watch TV. Other days i might go to my girlfriends house or go to the Y and work out. Theres nothing special going on like football was. I have an extra 3 or 4 hours now at home and i enjoy it, but it gets boring. Even though football is over, i procrastinate even more then i did. I like not having to work my butt off everyday at practice, but it gave me something to do and something to make my self work hard and get better. Its not just a game, its a life lesson. You can learn about yourself and life out there. It might not always be good, but it helps. Without football my life is boring.

It's Finally Over

The football season is over now. It's been a long and eventful season. I am glad its over, but I still wish it wasn't over. We won a lot of games and improved a lot from last season. We raised many eyebrows and we can carry our success over to next year. Our team has lost a lot of talent and leadership, but I am sure that the right people will step up to fill their shoes. It's a long way to the top and it starts now for the next season.

Playoffs

The Apollo High School Eagles football team is finally in the playoffs! We defeated Madisonville North Hopkins last Friday night and it gave us a big boost for the playoffs. We have very high hopes going into the games and hope to go far. A winning season was great, but now we are looking for a championship. Our team is very good and should have great success. Our defense is one of the best in the state and we count on them to pull us through. Our offense is coming around a little bit and that should also help us out a ton. This weeks practice should be tough so i must be ready physically and mentally for it. I am looking forward to the experience playing in the playoffs and i hope it carries on to next year.

5-4

Well we took two tough losses over the break that we should have one. Our first game against Graves was just pitiful and we should have never lost. The last game against Henderson was a good game, but we were better then them and we let them win. So we need to practice harder to get better no matter what because playoffs are next week. If we when our first game against Meade we get to play Henderson again and get a little payback. That will be a fun and exciting game to play in. I hope everything goes well and that we can make it far in the playoffs. This will be my first playoffs and I am very exciting. I don't want it to be a bad memory. I want to carry home the hardware.

Game Day Again

Well its Friday again so its game day. Today we play Graves County. They are a pretty good team with good speed. we should be able to pull out a win and host the playoffs. I hope we can so we can be in the record books. We need this win so we can have home field advantage in the playoffs. It would be a great advantage to be the home team. Apollo hasn't won district in a decade. I would love to be able to bring it back to the best school in the world. As long as we keep it away from Daviess County i will be happy.

Well we lost last Friday. We played a good game, but we lost it in the end. We made a great comeback and should have one but we turned the ball over. It was a messy game because it didn't stop raining the whole game. It sucks that we lost, but we proved to everybody that we are a good team and that we can play with anybody. Owensboro is supposed to be one of the best teams in the state and we almost and should have beat them. That shows that they aren't that good or that we are better then people give us credit. We have tough games ahead of us, but i believe that we can make it through with all victories and go 8-2 during the regular season.

Halloween

The only movie that i can remember that scared me was Stay Alive. It was a movie that these teenagers found a game and tried to kill people. When they died on the game they would die in real life the same way. You couldn't do anything about it. If u tried to stay away from the way you died, you will always still die. I didn't really think it was that scary, but it was the scariest one i have seen. My best friend's dad also came in the theater in the middle of the movie and scared us so i will always remember it. To me a movie is scary when they make you jump. Even when i see it coming i still jump every time. I like a lot of gore to, it makes you think that it can happen to you and it makes your hair stand up on the back of your neck.

Well its been a while sense I have been on here so I should enlighten you on our football team. Friday our football team improved to 5-1 by beating Daviess County 17-0. It was a great game and we were all pumped up to beat them in our rivalry game. Our offense had a terrible game, but our defense was outstanding by holding them to only 19 yards in total offense. After the game we all really excited about the huge win, but i wasn't to happy because I didn't have a very good game. We were already in the playoffs, but after this win we are one step closer to having home field advantage in the playoffs. We just have to beat Craves County and Henderson County. It will be a great achievement if we are able to pull that off. I know it will be one of the best times of my life and definitely the best moment in my football career. This has been a great season for the Apollo Football team and we still have 4 games left. I hope we finish the year off great and go far into the playoffs.

4-1

The football team is now 4-1 after our 42-3 stomping over Marshall County. Even thought the trip down there was really long, I had a great time. Sense we won so easily it was a blast. I also had a great game. I ran right through all the tackles and put a hurting on some of the people that tried to tackle me. I also ran for my first varsity touchdown. I was very excited for that and I hope I have many more left to go. I also went to the UK versus Florida game on Saturday night. We left early Saturday morning and got there at 12 their time. We had to go get my brother a new tire because he had a blow out on his way back last time. My parents went to do that and my brother, Will, and I went to get some food and hung out in the dorm while they were gone. We did that for a couple hours, then we went to the tailgating to hang out with some of his friends. After feeling out of place the whole time, Will and I decided to go get our seats. It was a very long walk and I was pleased to see that my chair had a back to it. Our seats were pretty good and that made me very happy. Even though UK didn't win, I did get to see the number 1 team in the nation play and I got to see their quarterback get knocked out cold. Its bad that he got hurt, but it was also cool to see because it shows that even one of the best players can still get hurt by a bad team.

Rain Rain Go Away

Its raining today and we have football practice. I hate going outside when its raining. Tuesday we went out side in the rain and came in after ten minutes of being out there. We were all mad because it was pointless to even go out there. We waited !5 minutes and went to the parking lot and practiced. That practice was really weird and I felt bad because i was soaking wet. My cleats were like five pounds each and my feet were squashing with water inside my cleat. I came into the locker room yesterday and it stunk more that usual because of the rain. I picked up my cleats and they were still wet, so I had to put on my cleats from freshman year. They weren't that comfortable, but they got me through practice. Sense its raining today we should practice in the gym and its a walk through day so it shouldn't be that hard. I still wish it wouldn't of rained because we needed to have a good practice outside to get us ready for the game. This game is very important and if we win we will be in the playoffs. I have never been in the playoffs, so I want this win very badly. Plus we have to drive 2 1/2 hours to get there, so ill be mad about that to. I guess ill just have to explode with all my anger when the game starts. That will be good for me anyway. My dad says that he needs to make me mad before the games because I always play better when I am mad and I usually don't get that mad. I hope the game goes well and i hope we can improve to an amazing 4-1 start.

Well its the first day back on here after a game, so of course thats what i'm going to write about. Like i said Friday that it was going to be a good game and that we should come out on top. We started out bad just so we could see what kind of defense they were running, and then we put it into gear. We marched right down the field many times. I was running my hardest because I don't like Catholic at all, so i wanted to embarrass them. We ended up beating them pretty bad, but it still wasn't good enough for my liking. I wish we could have beat them by 100, but 20 is good enough for me. Maybe now that we made them look so bad they will stop talking smack and understand how terrible they are. I knew that we were terrible last year and I never said a word about beating another team. This year though, we are a very good team and I have confidence that we can go and play any team in the state and have a chance to beat them. I am very proud to be apart of the Apollo Eagle football team and I wouldn't want to be on any other team.

Just Another Friday

Well its Friday again so that means its time for football. We had a hard off week to get ready to play Catholic. They aren't doing that good this year, but it is still a rivalry so we can't look past this game. It always a fast pace rough nose football game with a lot of hate. I always look forward to this game because they are really cocky and I just want to make them shut up and feel defeat. We beat them last year and they are still talking bad about us, so this year we are going to embarress them. Apollo is going to make them wish they never stepped foot on the field, they will crawl off the field crying to their mothers. It is going to be a great game and I hope a lot of people show up for it because they will get their moneys worth. I don't care what I have to do to help us win this game because I HATE Catholic and I want them to walk around with their heads down until next years game so we can beat them again.

Does Money Grow On Trees?

Money means a lot to me. It means that I can buy anything I want and just have fun. If I had a lot of money I could go see the movie Ive wanted to see for a while. It is important because it helps you have a better life. If you didn't have any money then you would be in a lot of trouble becuase you would be in debt and couldn't buy the food you need to survive. I don't think you can ever have enough money because that means that you can give money away to the poor and charity. The lack of money means that you have to worry about what your going to do to get money all the time. It may lead you to steal from somebody even though thats not who you are. It can bring out a side of you that isn't good just because you are trying to survive. Money does make the world go round because right now our economy is terrible and the world is just confussed on what to do now. We were all fine when the economy was good because we didnt have to worry about not having a job and not being able to afford anything.

Laptops

I just got back from taking my laptop to the help desk. I had to take it there because it wouldn't login. I like having the laptops, but they are getting a little old. They are a pain to carry around and a pain when they aren't working right. They also have their advantages. I don't have to write all the time because I hate writing. I can research things to help me understand what im learning. I can send my teachers my work and I can keep up on world events. My life without a laptop wouldn't be the same becuase i depend on it to get me through the day. If I don't know something I can look it up and learn about it. If im bored at home I can find a cool game to play and if I missed the game the night before, I can look it up on ESPN and get updated. Laptops have their pros and cons, but they are a life saver.

My Week

Well my life is pretty simple. I go through the same routine everyday. Wake up, go eat, get dressed, go to school, football practice, go home, eat, shower, and bed. Its the same everyday and it makes me very tired. It makes life so boring. I look forward to the weekends because they are a lot of fun and I can get out of my routine. I usally have a game on Friday and on Saturday I am most likely at my best friend Will's house. My mom hates that I always go over there, but I have a good time over there and I hate staying home. Sundays I just stay at home all day and bore myself. Then on Monday the whole process starts all over again.

Defeat

Last friday night was our first lost. We were winning the whole game and with about a minute left Warren Central scored on us and we lost. It was a terrible defeat. We were all mad and depressed. Now we have to go to back to all of the hard practices and running all the time. When football finally became fun again we lose and its back to being serious and no fun. We have a bye week now so it will be hard because we dont have a game. The Friday after this we play Catholic and we should role past them and get back to our winning ways. Everybody has minor set backs, but the great teams learn from it and get back on track and keep winning.

3-0?

As of right now our football team is 2-0. It is only about the 12th time in school history that is has happened. Tomorrow is a very important game. We have a great chance to go 3-0. It will be a huge win and show that the Eagles of Apollo are for real. Coach Bates said that it is going to be a great atmosphere for football and that a lot of people are excited about the game. I havent been this excited for a game in my whole life. A victory tomorrow will be a milestone in my life. I can't explain how happy I would be if we were to win. Our fans are finally excited about our team again and I want them to keep coming, so we have win this game and impress everybody. The team has put in hundreds of hours of practice to get this far. We will make it to the playoffs this year, there are no excuses for not making it.

Coming Down To The Last Second

Friday night we beat Warren East. It was a great game and im glad we won. We blew a big lead just like last week, but this time it was a little to close. We were down by one point with two minutes left. We drove all the way down the field, and then Hunter threw an interception. We all thought the game was over. Our defense went back onto the field and stuffed them in their tracks. We got the ball back very close to the endzone. DJ made an amazing catch to win the game for us. After the game we were awarded with a trophy. The whole football team was going crazy with joy. Everybody now knows that we aren't the same team as the past two years. We are winners and wont go down without a fight.

Game Day

Today is the day of our second game of the season. I am very nervous because i dont know how this one will turn out. The have good athletes, but arent that good. We are good, but dont have very many athletes. Theres kind of an oppostie effect going on. It should be a very good game. I hope that we can win so we can improve our record to 2-0. I would be very happy. Plus it could help our fan base actually show up to the games. The game is at 5:30 so it's going to be very hot. I'm used to playing in the heat, but i still dont like it. I want to see the stands filled with blue and white shirts cheering my team on. This team has talked a lot of smack and i want to shut them up and put them in their place.

Moving In

This past weekend my family helped my brother move in to his dorm at UK. It wasn't really the way I wanted to spend my saturday by waking up at 7:30 when I had a game the night before. We ended up leaving around 8 and headed toward Lexington. It was a long and boring drive. The campus is huge and the roads are confusing, so it was difficult to find his dorm. We ended up finding it after some frustration and went to sign in. After he signed in we went to his room to check it out. It didn't look that big, but wut else do you suspect? We stayed in the room for a while, then we went out to the van to get his stuff. We made about 4 trips to get it all in the room and then of course my mom had to organize everything after we set his stuff down. After she made everything perfect we went to Outback Steakhouse to eat. Mom started crying during the meal because she gets very emotional when he leaves. My family and I then took Zach back to the dorm to say our goodbyes. Dad gave him a hug first because my mom was bawling her eyes out already. My mom gave him the second hug and I was saved for the last because we are very close. I was sad to leave him and be without him because we are so close, but its his time to grow and learn to be independent. I miss him a lot, but im sure hes still having fun with the college life.

Friday Night Lights

Last Friday our football team beat the Mulhenburg Mustangs 33-12. We looked very good and we were playing as a team. Last year we only won two games so we are already half way there. Apollo football should win the first four games before we are challenged. The first play of the game on Friday, DJ ran a kickoff for a touchdown and we never looked back from that point. They had a couple of good plays, but we kept our heads up and played harder. It was there first game so there was a lot of people watching their team's first game. We ruined their first game by beating them so bad, but it felt good to win again. When we win we get to sing the fight song and that is one of the most fun things to do. The whole team is in a circle jumping up and down screaming the words to the song. It was a great game and i was proud to be wearing Apollo across my chest.

My life

Football is my life and it has been sense i was 7. I played soccer for a while until an add in a paper said something about a flag football league. My mom asked if I wanted to play and said yeah. Ever sense that first practice football has been everything in my life. Now that i play in high school, football is all year round and I dont get a break. Sometimes I feel like I should be doing something else besides that, but I couldnt imagine my life without football. This year of football will be my 11th year of playing. The past two years Apollo football has been terrible. We are all tired of loosing and tired of feeling like we suck. This year though, we are really good. We are projected to finish second in the region. I am excited about this year and hope we do good. Our first test is a district game against Mulenburg County tomorrow. If we loose it will be really embarrasing because it will be their first game as a school. Everybody already thinks we are terrible so that will make it even worse. Also our fans have stopped coming to the games because we lose. How can we win if we dont have any support? If they really cared about our school and team, then they would come to every game no matter how bad we are. I am deticated to football and I hope to be able to play for a long time and that my son will take after me and play.

What family means to me.

Family is something that is very imporatnat to me. I love my family even though they annoy me sometimes. My brother Zach is my bestfriend. We were born 21 months apart, but we r basically twins. We love to play sports and play video games. We are very competative and good at everything. We are also different. He is crazy and im more laid back. Hes more talkative and I like to sit back and listen to what is being said. My oldest brother Nathan is 6 years older then me, so we dont really get along that well. My dad is awesome and a role model. He jokes around with me a lot and we still wrestle a time or two. He is very sports minded and has taught me everything i know about sports. My mom likes to control me a little. Im the baby of the family, so its hard for her to let her last son go. It annoys me a lot, but I know how she feels. In my family I am the person who listens to everything that is said and waits to talk when its my turn. Im usally the quiet one until sports is involed. I couldn't ask for a better family and im lucky to have them.
